It is the Chevrolet TrailBlazer competing the Fortuner in this segment. There is enough and more in the pipeline like the next generation Ford Endeavour and the New Toyota Fortuner.
In most markets the TrailBlazer is available in 2 diesel engines and 1 in petrol, but India will only get the 2.8 litre diesel.
The 2 part grille has been seen in the sail hatchback/ sedan, the beat and even the spark. It will come with sharp looking projector head lamps which has become the most common thing in the new or updated version of cars. The width of this SUV is a bit more than the Fortuner which makes the car look more muscular as compared to its rivals. The ground clearance of the TrailBlazer is a surprisingly higher at 241mm compared to a 220mm of the Fortuner.
The interiors are well laid out and wide with black and beige interiors giving it an upmarket look and feel. The 3 spoke steering is inspired by the Corvette. At some point the car will remind you of the Captiva which it is replacing.
What is hiding under the hood? India only gets the 2.8 litre duramax diesel engine. The car is a bit underpowered as compared to the Fortuner that comes with a 3.0 litre engine. Engine Specs:
Max Power: 200bhp @ 3600 rpm
Max Torque: 500Nm @ 2000 rpm
Transmission: Six-Speed Automatic
Ground Clearance: 241mm
