A lot of us must have wondered which Mercedes was showcased in the 2015 Jurassic World. Well, here it is. None other than the Mercedes Benz GLE Coupe. This mean machine is being launched in India on 12th January 2016 and will hit the roads soon after.

In the global market’s Mercedes offers the GLE AMG Coupe in two trims – the GLE 450 AMG and the more powerful, AMG GLE63 S Coupe. It is the former that is set to be launched in India next month that too via the CBU route.

The Mercedes GLE 450 Coupe is an aggressive looking mean machine. With its AMG body styling and its alluring interiors, which is more than enough to tell you that it is built to offer the best of both an SUV and a Sedan. At the front you have the massive grill with a large Three-Pointed Star at the centre along with a neat pair of headlamps with projector units and DRLs.

The muscular bumper houses the huge air dam along with large air inlet on both sides and a silver skid plate below. The large squarish wheel arches houses a set of 21-inch AMG twin 5-spoke alloys and an option two more 22-inch multi-spoke wheels. Inside the GLE AMG Coupe comes with a luxuriously crafted cabin, which is draped in premium quality materials and Nappa leather multi-functional steering wheel.

The Mercedes-Benz GLE AMG 450 Coupe comes with AMG-enhanced 3.0-litre bi-turbo V-6 engine that offers instant response and decent fuel economy. The engine produces a maximum power of 362bhp and a peak torque of 520 Nm. The engine comes mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox that offers greater range of ratios and shorter steps between gears.

Looks Great. No doubts about that. KUV 100 is targeted at youth below 30 years of age. Mahindra has revealed Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan as its Brand Ambassador for the KUV 100.

KUV stands for ‘Kool Utility Vehicle’

MAhindra will launch its KOOL UV on January 15 and the company has started taking bookings for it from 19th December 2015. The KUV100, like the XUV 500, has been built on a monocoque chassis and comes with front-wheel drive architecture. Interestingly, the front fascia of the SUV looks like a compact version of the XUV500’s front-end. The exterior look of the car is quite sporty with a high ground clearance, roof rails, muscular character lines, etc. which give it an aggressive look.

The KUV 100 is a 5 seaterand will be available in 4 variants with ABS as standard. The company will provide airbags as an option in the lower variants and as standard in the top-end models. It is also set to be equipped with features like stylish L-shaped DRLs, a roof-lip mounted spoiler, a touchscreen infotainment system, etc.

It is expected to be priced between 4.5 to 6 lacs. Mahindra KUV 100 technically has no competition as yet. However if the pricing is considered it will go up against the Hyundai Grand I10.

Suzuki Vitara S: Possible Debut at the AutoExpo 2016.

Suzuki Vitata S is a new premium variant of the Vitara SUV, equipped with more features that the standard variant. It possibly could debut at the Auto Expo 2016 with a launch in 2017. The Suzuki Vitara S gets 17-inch alloy wheels and a unique front grille. Inside also, the Vitara S gets some premium touches – the air con vents get red surrounds, stitching on the leather wrapped steering wheel also gets the red treatment and aluminium pedals are standard.

The big change is under the hood which now gets a new boosterjet engine 1.4 litre direct injection turbocharged unit that generates 138bhp and 220 Nm of torque. The engine will be available with two transmission options, a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. The company claims the Vitara S with the manual transmission can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 10.2 seconds and record a top speed of 200kmph.

This blacked out mean machine maintains legendary Indian Chief styling, while taking an unpolished and raw approach to its finish with blacked out styling. There are a few alterations with the Dark Horse, so there are no fog lamps up front, no oil cooler or analogue fuel gauge on the massive fuel tank.

Keeping all of this apart, this motorcycle will have ABS, cruise control and keyless ignition, in addition to the tripmeters, digital tachometer, engine temperature and fuel consumption indicators. The Dark Horse has the same frame, engine, suspension setup and exactly the same ergonomics as the chief classic. The Dark Horse has also done away with the chrome spoked wheels and borrowed the chunky alloys of the bigger Indian Roadmaster.

1) FORD MUSTANG: 

Finally, the Ford Mustang will make it to the Indian shores in the near future. This will be a fully loaded with a lot o tech and is offered with 3 engine options abroad: 2.3 litre 4 cylinder eco boost, the 3.7 litre V6 and the 5litre V8.

2) MITSUBISHI PAJERO SPORT: 

Robust shoulder line, the mascara inspired tail lamps and the flash doesn’t end here. The Pajero Sport got features of a luxury car. Although most Pajero buyers would not do any hardcore offroading, the new SUV comes with an all new 4WD system. The power will come from the 2.4 litre which produces 175 bhp and a 430 Nm of torque.

3) JAGUAR F  PACE:

The F Pace is based on the C-X17 concept. Its inspired rom the F-Type Coupe and is based on the all new aluminium platform. In India, we will possibly get a rear wheel drive, although a AWD could be offered. (Would be Nice)

The power will come from the 2179 cc four cylinder diesel, a V8 petrol that powers the F Type R.

4) MARUTI XA ALPHA: 

This is Maruti’s mini SUV which will remind you of the Evoque with its hood , chunky grille and eagle eye headlamps. This SUV will be served across all Maruti Dealerships and is based on the current swift platform. It will come with the 1.2 K Series Petrol, 1.3 & 1.6 litre DDIS diesel engine. Maruti is also planning a AWD version for the XA Alpha.

5) TATA NEXON: 

The Nexon crossover concept looks futuristic with its LED head and tail lamps, cameras for wing mirrors, loating dash, electric motor, suicide door etc and even a missing B Pillar. It will be powered by Tata’s 4 cylinder 1.2 litre petrol and 1.3 litre diesel engine.

6)YAMAHA MT-03:

The MT-03 claims to be more touring friendly than its counterpart R3. It will get a slightly raised handlebar adding comfort to city and long distance rides. The MT 03 will be shipped to India via the CKD route. It will come with a 320 cc twin that develops 41.5 bhp and 30 Nm of torque with a 6 speed gearbox.

7) MV AGUSTA F3 800:

This is an absolute mental machine. Its 3 cylinder engine produces 148 bhp and 88 Nm Torque.

8) KTM DUKE 690:

Havn’t heard much of this one but yes it has been captured and will be made available soon. The 690 is lightweight, powerful, agile, comfortable and has an outstanding power to weight ratio.

9) HERO HX 250R:

Hero MotoCorp will unveil its HX 250R in India in Early 2016. It will get disc brakes at both ends and will be powered with a 249 cc single cylinder producing 31 bhp and 26 Nm Torque. It is expected to be priced aggressively which we will have to wait for.

10) BENELLI TNT 25:

One of the oldest Italian motorcycle manufacturers is set to launch its offering in India next year. This urban street brawler promises to be a strong perormer with its 249cc pumping out 24 bhp and 26 Nm Torque.
